I love boxing. I grew up watching it, never miss a pay per view, and attend every live event I can. I have always dreamed of taking up boxing myself and finally decided to join a local boxing gym last year. Luckily for me, Matt was the instructor at one of the first classes that I attended there. Right off the bat, he gave us helpful tips on technique and got us tearing into combo after combo on the bags. I was immediately hooked and went to every one of his classes that I could. In all of my years of athletics, I have never met a coach who is as passionate or as knowledgeable as Matt. His ability to tailor every workout, whether it be weights or cardio, to your fitness goals is astounding. Each exercise is not only challenging but purposeful, helping your body develop the way you want it. He will discuss at length the mechanics behind each movement, the muscles they are affecting, and how each exercise develops the muscle for strength, speed, or stability. Further, he understands the dieting process and has extensive knowledge on the composition and mechanism of various supplements. Along with his personal training, his boxing classes never have a wasted moment. Matt is my personal trainer and I also take boxing classes with him. He makes every single student feel welcome no matter their skill level. He’s incredibly professional but still easily establishes a rapport with his students.
